Trip Goal & Overview
To provide basic ongoing healthcare and education to Indigenous populations in Iquitos who have limited access to medical services.
To strengthen continuity of care within a long-standing DOCARE-supported community.

Accommodations & Logistics
Housing
4-star hotels with double occupancy rooms. Air conditioning, private bathrooms, hot water, and filtered water included.
Meals
All meals included from March 8–13. Breakfast and lunch included on March 14.
Transportation
Domestic flights between Lima and Iquitos. Air-conditioned motor coach for airport and clinic transport. Three-level boat for travel and medical clinics on the Amazon River.

The following personnel are both requested and welcomed. Please note that the maximum number of participants are indicated below, however, at time of registration, the number of remaining slots will be displayed.

Costs & Fees (Guaranteed through October 30, 2025)
- $2,552 per person (double occupancy)
- $3,152 per person (single occupancy)
Above costs are guaranteed for participants confirmed through 10/30/25, after which prices will be adjusted by vendors based on travel market fluctuations for applications received after 10/30/25. This page will be updated if costs change for applicants after 10/30/25.
Medication and supply cost are covered by fundraising and donations. If you wish to donate, please contact info@docareintl.org.
Payment Instructions: Participants will be notified upon acceptance.
Additional not included Expenses: International Airfare, personal expenses, optional upgrades, travel plans outside of the group.
Security & Medical Safety
Security Measures: English-speaking guides and contracted security during Amazon travel and clinic hours. On-site security at Iquitos clinic.
Additional Notes
AOA Category 1B CME credits available for teaching medical students.
This site represents a 12-year continuity clinic, with regular virtual and in-person engagement by DOCARE physicians, volunteers and donors.
